How do I get to the workshop?

Visit the ACL-08 conference website for information about accomodation, travel, and registration.

Early registration ends May 17 and the fees go up after that.

When is my talk?

How long do I have?

23 minutes for the talk, plus 7 minutes for questions.

(Exception: The invited speakers have 50 minutes for their talk and 10 minutes for questions.)

What equipment is available? How do I set up?

The room is equipped with a projector.

A public laptop will be available. If you plan to use it, please arrive early to set transfer your slides (an organizer will have a USB drive to help you) to make sure they display properly.

You may use your own laptop. It makes sense to use your own if either:

If you are the first speaker in a session or after a break, please set up before your talk begins, and bring up your first slide on the large screen.

If you are speaking immediately after someone and are using a different laptop, be prepared to act quickly to switch the cables around.

If you have special needs, e.g. audio equipment, please contact the organizers.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your session. During this time you can set up your slides and introduce yourself to the session chair. The session chair will help in the following ways:
